My Resume
My path into criminology began with a deep interest in the stories behind crime and a determination to
understand human behavior at its most complex. That curiosity has grown into a career dedicated to advancing
justice, supporting victims, and training the next generation of criminologists.
I was involved in the early establishment of a Rape & Trauma Centre, where I worked closely with survivors,
medical teams, and legal professionals. This hands-on work shaped my commitment to victim advocacy and gave
me a practical understanding of how evidence and support services come together in criminal cases.
Academically, I hold an MSc in Forensic Criminology (FCI & Behavioural Sciences Lab, Mexico), a Diploma in
Criminal Profiling (FCI, USA), and undergraduate degrees in both Criminology and Psychology, as well as an
Honours degree in Psychology from UNISA. These studies, alongside specialized training in Genetic Brain
Profiling, have allowed me to build a strong foundation in both theory and applied practice.
My professional journey has taken me into crime analysis, offender profiling, and case consultation, with a
focus on sex crimes, domestic violence, and homicides. It has also included media collaborations,
participation in a podcast and contributions to a true crime book, bringing real-world insight to wider
audiences. Today, I serve as both an Instructor and Board Member at the Forensic Criminology Institute,
delivering international training programs in the Netherlands—including specialized training for the Dutch
Police Investigative Psychology Unit.
At the core of my work is a commitment to confronting gender-based violence and femicide in South Africa,
where justice and closure often remain out of reach for victims and their families. For me, criminology is
not just a profession but a mission to apply knowledge, evidence, and compassion in the pursuit of truth and
justice.

IAFC Membership Identification
IAFC
The Academy of Behavioral Profiling (ABP) was established as an independent, interdisciplinary organization
dedicated to advancing investigative and forensic protocols in crime scene analysis, victimology, and
criminal profiling. Over time, it evolved into the International Association of Forensic Criminologists
(IAFC), reflecting a broader global membership and a range of forensic specialities.
The IAFC/ABP brings together forensic, behavioral, and investigative professionals worldwide, fostering
cooperation, research, and professional standards. It has been instrumental in developing the first code of
ethics for criminal profilers, establishing practice standards, publishing scientific literature, and
introducing professional certification. Today, the IAFC/ABP continues its mission as a credentialing and
professional body, committed to upholding and refining standards in forensic criminology.
